Freesat

Freesat is a popular option for those who are unable to receive Freeview through an aerial due to a lack of signal in their area. Freesat offers a broad range of free-to-air digital channels through a satellite dish. An added benefit of Freesat is the ability to access high-definition (HD) services from providers such as the BBC and ITV.

Freesat does require the purchase of a small satellite dish and receiver box, but it boasts a broader range of channels (roughly 150) as opposed the 45 available through Freeview.
